Here’s our suggestions of great activities to try in family while you’re on the island.
Practicing snorkel in Ibiza is one of our favourite family activities. There are so many beaches and coves on the island to explore which are perfect to enjoy watching the diverse sea life of the Mediterranean Sea.
You will discover the unknown side of the island aboard a speedboat. See the most beautiful beaches that you can only access through the sea, accompanied with expert sailors. Visit the amazing landscapes of Las islas de Poniente, the Natural Park and the Marine Reservoir.
The waters around Ibiza and Formentera are beautifully warm and crystal clear. The perfect place to enjoy the fun of snorkelling.
Minibiza besides taking over the organization and running our Kids club, offers a sports and country club. Part of Clube de Campo the infrastructure has a spacious and fully equipped playroom, a beautiful garden area and a games park.
The children in Minibiza play freely, whilst being encouraged to develop their relationship skills and conflict resolution abilities. Mini Ibiza qualified staff helps children to develop a healthy self-esteem, without anticipating or correcting them constantly, favouring the expression of emotions and creating a relaxed atmosphere with only a few but clear boundaries established in a respectful manner.
Ibiza’s street markets are a must-see. There you will discover typical Ibizan fashion, find original items, buy local crafts, taste organic products, etc. They are also renowned for their great atmosphere, with music, DJ sets and places to have a bite to eat. The majority of these markets open between May and October, and these are some of the most popular.
Las Dalias A classic on the island, it has been running for over 30 years. There are over 200 stands where you can find fabrics, handmade clothing and the famous AdLib Ibiza fashion, jewellery, crafts, decorations and hammocks, etc. In the evening and at night the atmosphere heats up with live music, concerts and DJ sets. The night-time version takes place in summer, on Mondays and Tuesdays from June to September, and on Sundays in August. There are also special markets during Easter Week and Christmas.
Punta Arabí The biggest hippy market in Ibiza, it has existed since 1973. On Wednesdays, over 500 stalls are set up. Among them you can find original items from all over the world, as well as crafts, fashion, natural cosmetics, musical instruments and jewellery. There is a children's play area, a bar area and a multicultural marquee with live music and performances from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Sant Jordi This is perhaps the most popular second-hand market on the island and it takes place on Saturday mornings, in the old hippodrome in Sant Jordi. You can buy all kinds of items there, including CDs, books, furniture, clothing, luggage, etc. You can also have an appetiser at the bar and enjoy the midday percussion sessions led by musicians in the grandstand.
Craft and Organic Markets To buy local crafts, San Rafael and Sant Joan de Labritja are two highly recommended markets. They also sell local agricultural products and organic food. Forada Market is another place where you can purchase local and natural products.
