How severe is the COVID-19 situation in Ibiza?

At May 20th, there’re 22 active cases in Ibiza and Formentera from a total of 168 since the beginning of the Pandemic. 14 patients in hospital being monitored and 4 in intensive care. (info via local press)
Since the start of the health crisis Can Misses hospital has almost doubled its capacity from 240 to 435 with intensive care spaces increasing from 12 to 44 beds, 22 dedicated to Covid19 patients.

What to expect from Ibiza this season?

Slowly but surely Ibiza is dressing up for summer. We’ve seen a number of cafés, restaurants and shops opening in the last week. Beach clubs are expected to start opening this week with phase 2 of de-escalation.
It's not clear yet the programming of island’s most famous clubs but there're rumors that many are getting ready to throw some parties during the season.

Is it safe to travel to Nobu Ibiza?

Our resort is isolated from the general public. As such, we have complete control over who we permit to enter our resort.  We would like to reassure that we are entirely focused on the experience of our guests and our priority, always, is your health and safety. We are adhering to the latest information, protocols and tools from the world’s leading health experts and government authorities in response to growing concerns from travellers regarding COVID-19.

Spanish government last update

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced an extension to Spain's State of Emergency until June 06th.
Ibiza is expected to enter Phase 2 next Monday 25th May. During this phase larger gatherings – from ten to 15 people – are allowed to take place and large commercial premises are allowed to open to shoppers, although social distancing and hygiene measures must still be maintained. Hotel common areas and beaches are also part of the new phase permissions.

What happens to my booking if it is declared by the Government not to travel to Ibiza?

In case of travel restrictions reservations with restricted conditions such as prepayment or non-refundable will be waived using current deposit as accommodation credit for the new stay.

How do I get to the resort safely?

We recommend to book an airport transfer with one of our preferred partners.
All drivers are trained and instructed to limit conversations to minimal. They wear protective gear such as mask and gloves. The cars are duly disinfected after every guest arrival.

What are we doing to keep our hotel safe?

We would like to reassure that we are entirely focused on the experience of our guests and our priority, always, is your health and safety.  The hotel has in place a prevention and protection plan, comprising a comprehensive sanitisation programme across the resort. Ensuring enhanced sanitisation protocols, emergency quarantine and containment procedures, screening and awareness programmes for our guests.
