Since the beginning of the pandemic, Can Misses Hospital doubled the number of beds available, from 240 to 435, and from 12 to 44 for intensive care, 22 of which are dedicated exclusively to patients with Covid-19.
Slowly but surely Ibiza is opening up for summer. These last weeks we've seen how the majority of cafes, restaurants, beach clubs and shops are opening their doors and increasing their capacity while respecting the new hygiene and safety measures. The programming of the island’s most famous clubs is still unclear, although it is expected that many are preparing to host some events during the season. Hotels, restaurants, and beach chiringuitos will be opened by the beginning of July.
Our resort is isolated from the general public. As such, we have complete control over who we permit to enter our resort. We would like to reassure that we are entirely focused on the experience of our guests and our priority, always, is your health and safety. We are adhering to the latest information, protocols and tools from the world’s leading health experts and government authorities in response to growing concerns from travellers regarding COVID-19.
Spain lifted border controls with all European Union member states from 21 June, the end of the state of alarm, and will no longer impose quarantine on visitors.
All regions of Spain have completed the phases for transitioning to the new normality once the crisis caused by the pandemic is less severe. On 9 June, the Spanish government approved the Royal Decree-Law on urgent containment and coordination measures to deal with the COVID-19 public health crisis, which establishes the regulations to be followed from 21 June. These measures include, in relation to tourism:
•The mandatory use of face masks by persons over 6 years of age on public roads, outdoors and in enclosed spaces for public use, provided that it is not possible to maintain a social distance of at least 1.5 metres. Exceptions are made for persons with disabilities or respiratory illnesses, as well as when practising sports or eating. Their use is also mandatory on public transport, by air, sea and rail, and in private vehicles if the occupants do not live together at the same address. Failure to comply with this measure will result in a penalty of up to 100 euros.
• Hotels and tourist accommodation, hotels and restaurants, shops, as well as cultural, entertainment and other recreational and sports centres shall ensure that crowds are avoided in common areas, and shall guarantee that customers and workers maintain a minimum interpersonal distance of 1.5 metres. Appropriate hygiene measures shall be observed in these establishments to prevent risks of contagion.
• Free mobility throughout the territory and travel between provinces will be allowed.
In case of travel restrictions reservations with restricted conditions such as prepayment or non-refundable will be waived using current deposit as accommodation credit for the new stay.
We recommend booking an airport transfer with one of our preferred partners.
All drivers are trained and instructed to keep conversation to a minimal level. They will be wearing a face mask and gloves. The cars are duly disinfected after every guest´s journey.
